Home and Away Exhibition
Ifa Lethu gives a warm welcome to art lovers on a cold night

The Home & Away exhibition got off to a great start at the Old Fort, Constitution Hill, Johannesburg, when it was opened by the Hon Kate Ellis MP, Australian Minister for Early Childhood Education, Child Care and Youth and Minister for Sport on June 14, 2010. Despite a freezing winter’s evening, guests were treated to a musical interlude, a praise singer and excellent addresses by Ifa Lethu Chair Amb Lindiwe Mabuza, Ahmed M. Kathrada, Minister Ellis, and founding donors Diane Johnstone, Bruce Haigh – who came out specially for this opening. Also in attendance was renowned artist Victor Gordon who now lives in Australia. The exhibition, which is already proving a big attraction for tourists, local schools and other visitors, runs until 25 July.
